Founded in Vancouver in 2008, EPIC’s Smart Dust platform makes intelligence part of the physical asset itself. Each node becomes a persistent point of awareness, identity and trusted interaction at the edge.

EPIC owns its core intellectual property, develops its semiconductor architecture in-house, and works with government and industry partners to move breakthrough silicon from prototype to real-world deployment.

TRUST, IDENTITY AND CONTROL AT EVERY NODE

EPIC’s proprietary IC architecture gives each node a persistent hardware identity and mission-bounded control of power, data and function. Access can be defined by mission, function, time and use, while the system monitors state and can isolate or revoke unauthorized operation.
Working with the gateway, the same architecture supports trusted event records, provenance and lifecycle intelligence — creating a distributed hardware trust layer for autonomous, uncrewed and other high-consequence systems.
